Thinking Ahead-Spring Break Edition

things to bring

Spring break starts in March over here in Destin, However, depending on your location and your school it could be anywhere from March 1st to April 30th.

Our rentals are already being booked up quick for this time frame. So, I thought I would share some friendly local advice.

  •  If you plan on renting a boat, whether it be at sunset, during the day, or in the morning, BOOK ahead! There are many places you can call and book before the time comes. Our favorite is Captain Max he has alot of different packages and ammenities. He has an Instagram @crabislandtothemax and his direct phone number to book is 850-974-9437. Either way, whoever you choose, if you wait to book there will be nothing available.
  •  Beginning in March is when Destin becomes one of the most visited places on earth. With that in mind, think about the traffic involved and try to plan to do things before regular traffic. Most of you fly here but if you drive and have the means, I would even tell you to bring a bike for easy and fast transportation! Everything is close enough for that. (There are also bike rental available right outside our property if you want to add this into your vacation budget).
  •  Call your condos to ask about if they are doing any Renovations!! If you are staying with us then you already know we have construction going on here on property and you can call us any time with questions about the process. Most condos do these things in the off season but sometimes it is still progressing through March.
  • I know you are on vacation but grocery shopping and eating most your meals while here would be the ideal plan, not only for saving money, but also optimizing your vacation time, and maybe even families from fighting over meal decisions. Traffic is not light here, so anything you can do to minimize your traffic experience is highly suggested.
  •  One last thing, STAY hydrated while you are here. You are probably thinking "yeah we know" but seriously, people on vacation here pass ou from heat exhaustion more than they should because their bodies are not used to the climate. Be safe and drink a lot of water! You will be sweating your booty off while here (:

Thank you for visiting our Blog and reading my advice.

See you all soon, until then we wish you the best!
