We had a fabulous vacation! The unit was spacious, floor plan was perfect for everyone, and the view was spectacular! However, the floors in the unit and rug in guest bedroom were dirty. Also, the bath towels were very rough to our skin and need replacing. The sticky skillets need to be replaced.

First time to stay in this condo. The gulf view to the east and west is great. Condo was clean and nice. We had a wonderful week and beach wasn't crowded like it is in July. Very peaceful for the 7 of us. Tower 1 re-model is practically finished. As always I want to thank Sharon in the checkin office as she is great and Security had our paperwork ready upon arrival. This condo now has a coded door, so you don't have to worry about losing keys. We will return to Shoreline Towers in Destin.

We have been coming down to Shoreline Towers every two years for ten years now. The overall experience was great but we had a little bug problem come up that we were not happy about and the security guard was rude which we have never encountered before. Also the bed was broken and we had to have the frame removed and put the box springs and bed on floor.

We had things set up so you would not be inconvenienced with extra people on site to make the switch of furniture but unfortunately it did not make it here. Thank you for staying with us here at Shoreline Towers in unit 1111. I do apologize that there were not enough pillow cases in the condo for the extra pillows in the closets. We don't normally put out extra pillow cases. If a guest requests them we have housekeeping take them up. Also, I do wish you would of let us know during your stay about any burnt out light bulbs, housekeeping would have came up and changed them out. Normally our inspectors are supposed to check all lamps to make sure everything is working. I will make sure to speak with the housekeeping supervisor about this. Also with the renovations going on in tower 1 still the floors will be some what still dusty everytime they are swept and mopped. I will make sure to let housekeeping know that the floors need to be steamed cleaned. We thank you again for staying here and look forward to having you back again next year.

Unit had the most perfect view. Kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils. Very spacious for my group of 7. The construction going on didn’t bother us at all. However, I would recommend the owners bring in pest control as the building entrance was completely open due to construction, there were cockroaches around the elevators and we found 2 in our room. Not the unit owners fault but just something I needed to mention. The air conditioner stopped working the last night we were there and we aren’t sure if it was a fluke or if something was broken. Overall it was a fantastic week and we loved the unit. I’m sure our next visit will be even better.

As a former owner in Shoreline Towers for many years (until Jan 2021), we had always wanted to stay or own a unit right on the beach like 1111. One of the best views in the entire complex with amazing, extended and unobstructed views in both directions down the beach. Kitchen is well furnished and equipped with everything you would ever need to cook. Very comfortable beds and furniture, especially the recliners!! As you walk around the main rooms in the unit, all you see is beach & WATER!! Almost feels like you are on a cruise! Only slightly negative was the small master bath and master closet that was hard to access due to washer & dryer taking up most of the space (as it was pulled out away from the wall). The 2nd bath was much larger and the size usually found in the master. Plenty of drawer storage via the very nice bedroom furniture in each BR. Next time we will have an excuse to bring fewer hanging clothes!! Overall, a fantastic unit that I would rate as a 10/10 on the most important things in a beach condo (View, comfortable, clean, updated and furnished well. We absolutely loved it and would like to rent again. Potential renters should book with confidence that the views are the best in Destin!

Family Vacation

The condo was clean upon arrival, very spacious, and very close to the beach making easy to bring all of our stuff for the day! We paid for umbrella and chair rental and got a weekly rate of $260.00 The best part about the condo was it’s phenomenon covered balcony and ocean view! The kitchen was fully equipped to cook meals for our family. Due to restaurants functioning at 50% capacity, the waits averaged 1.5 to 2 hours so we cooked a lot. The management team was gracious to accommodate our family’s 5 # service dog with appropriate documentation. The bedrooms were comfortable and sorta skimpy on extra blankets. The living room furniture is awful and honesty for the Rental price, this should absolutely be replaced. The couch sunk in and you felt as if there was no support. The coffee table was hanging on by a thread, and I moved in fear someone would get hurt being how wobbly it was! There could be more seating on patio, maybe lounge chairs.
Overall, I would consider renting again just for the view, balcony and beach access.

Older condo with best view

This was our first family beach trip in years so we needed a place that would fit 8 people and this condo had plenty of space. The condo is probably 45 years old so the condo and building shows it. Only one of the 2 elevators were working for instance and the building was unusually stinky. Once you get past the fact that it's an old place and the condo has never been remodeled there are some major positives like the absolute best balcony view in Destin. The condo actually is closer to the beach than any other condo in Destin- you can see all of Destin looking east and west from the balcony- looks like the condo building protrudes further into the beach than any other! All the beds were comfortable, large fridge, comfortable chairs, plenty of dining space, large TV and the clear, refreshing and deep pool were all perfect. I like that there was plenty of outdoor parking also. The location couldn't be beat - tons of restaurants, grocery, Dunkin within walking distance. I would stay there again and even pay more if the owners would replace the original carpet, add fresh paint, replace the rusting and corroded shower surrounds, get rid of the 1970's heat globes and wallpaper in the bathrooms etc.

When Shoreline Towers was built the units were larger and as you mentioned there was plenty of space. The Owner is constantly upgrading his unit and is currently talking with contractors about putting in walk shower in the master bathroom. He has replaced carpet with tile and continues to upgrade furniture, paints and replaces items when needed. Unit 1111 is a great unit and I know the Owner will appreciate your feedback. We loved our trip to Destin. We come every year and this is our second year to stay in this unit. The staff was great. The unit needs some updating and repairing. The ac was not the best. The front area stayed comfortable. The master bedroom stayed terribly hot. The other two bedrooms were hot sometimes too. Also the thermostat was set on a timer or something and it would continuously change to 82 without any of us touching it. We loved our trip to Destin. We come every year and this is our second year to stay in this unit. The staff was great. The unit needs some updating and repairing. The ac was not the best. The front area stayed comfortable. The master bedroom stayed terribly hot. The other two bedrooms were hot sometimes too. Also the thermostat was set on a timer or something and it would continuously change to 82 without any of us touching it. We hope this problem is corrected before next year because we would love to stay in this unit again.

This is the second year in a row that we rented this property, mostly because the balcony and view is amazing. But I must say this condo needs some much needed updating. The carpet needs to be replaced throughout, as well as on the balcony. There is no color on the walls and everything including the kitchen is all white, giving it an apartment feel at best. The décor is not beachy except in the bedrooms. The balcony has a cheap rusting table and uncomfortable plastic chairs that blow around when windy. With a balcony like that the owner should invest in some nice loungers so guests can enjoy better. The bathrooms are outdated with wallpaper and old shower doors. Things like a laundry hamper and garbage can in each room would be helpful to not lay wet bathing suits on the carpet. A sharp knife set is needed because cutting meat and fruit with a butter knife is not ok. Also more deep bowls for cereal/soup would be helpful. We had five children who all wanted cereal and there were two bowls that held appropriately. With all this being said we love our experiences at Shoreline Towers, the staff are always wonderful and our time in Destin is always amazing.

We rented a couple of units from Shoreline Towers. Both units were exceptional. Unit 1111 was beautiful. There were no major problems with the unit. One minor problem was the bed in the Master Bedroom, however management did an exceptional job in fixing the issue within 30 minutes. The management team was outstanding and as advertised the views from the unit beautiful. Would definitely stay there again and I cannot say enough good things about the management of the complex as they were on top of everything.

We have stayed in many units and decided to try this 3 bedroom corner unit for the first time. This unit is on the 11th floor and is therefore closest to the ocean. This particular unit needs some updating in the bathrooms, paint, wallpaper, and the carpet on the balcony needs to be glued down or replaced as it constantly blows up with the breeze. Those are all minor fixes. The bed was comfortable and we had no major complaints at all. Customer service at Shoreline Towers is A+++++ and that is why we always return!

We have stayed at shoreline towers many times over the past ten years. We usually book a two bedroom condo and always choose based on photos. This unit was a three bedroom and the photo showed that it was beach front with spectacular views from the kitchen, dining area and balcony. The photos were accurate and for a short stay, the condo was great. However, there were issues that over time would irritate me. The two extra bedrooms were large with big closets and dressers. The second bathroom was also very large. The master however was very disappointing. The bedroom itself had great views but a soft mattress. The laundry was in the closet and took it over completely. The ensure was very small and very tired. The kitchen was also outdated and lacking in some basics. Although a large slow cooker was provided(?) there was only one small frying pan. The main sitting area is very small and awkward for watching tv. We ended up moving the furniture around a few times (easy if you bring teenage boys). We also had trouble with the tv and found we had to unplug it for 5-10 minutes before using it. Overall, the unit was good bc of the view and otherwise adequate.

Everything in the condo was great. Would have like some cleaning materials like broom and dust pan. Or maybe a small vacuum. And some cleaning cloths, dish rags. When you cook would be nice to have stuff to clean up with. Also it would be nice if the condo owners would include beach rental umbrella and chairs in the rental price. We recently stayed in unit 1111 on sep. 12-19. This was our first trip to Destin during the off peak season and won't be the last. The unit was great and we spent most days out on the beach. For dinners we ate out most nights and the best part was no long waits for tables. We rented a pontoon one day to go explore the bay and crab island our only complaint about that was that everything in crab island was closed. Be careful because the lady at the front desk is good at jinxing people when she says do not lose the key to the condo. It was either her fault or the people on the sea blaster that gave us too much to drink.
The unit was very nice and clean. There was one complaint from the master bedroom because it "was always too warm" even with the shades closed all afternoon it did seem like it would take a while to cool down. I guess that's the price you pay for the best views in the condo. Also the dryer seemed to never fully dry things on the first cycle. We hope to be back again soon.
Our favorite restaurants were Caffe Italia in Fort Walton Beach, La Paz, McGuire's, The Crab Trap, Fudpuckers and Bric a Brac.

Great location with beautiful oceanfront view.
Few maintenance problems. Clothes dryer needed repair and kitchen sink disposal had to be replaced. Couldn't use half of sink for 2 days. Frig struggled to stay cold, used cooler for drinks.

Guy - thank you for taking your time to write a review of Unit 1111. This is a great three bedroom gulffront unit that has incredible views of the beach, Gulf of Mexico and the sunsets and wonderful. We are sorry you had and issue with the garbage disposal and glad Maintenance could get it replaced in short order. I know that in the summer when guest first check in and fill their fridge with boxes of soda, water and beer it sometimes takes a little longer to cool down. We have found that the cardboard around the drinks seems to hold in the heat. Glad however that you had a great family vacation and we look forward to your return trip to Shoreline Towers. Management

The view from the balcony was wonderful. The unit itself was average as far as decor. The kitchen was well furnished for a vacation rental. I was surprised that two bedrooms had carpet instead of tile. The carpet was dated and needs to be replaced.
My biggest complaint was the wobbly, noisy, and cheap ceiling fan inthe master BR. This is not my first experience with this issue as SLT. When someone has trouble sleeping because of the noise there is a problem. Why have a $25 fan in a $400K plus condo is beyond my understanding

The homeowner every year goes thru unit and upgrades and updates this unit to make sure it stays at the top of our vacation rentals and it does. The owner replaced the carpet in Unit 1111 the winter of 2013. He felt people do not like stepping onto a tile floor in the winter and I know that his winter guests have said how much they appreciate the carpet. I passed along your comments about the fan and the owner went out, purchased a new one and had it installed in the unit. Thank you again and we hope you will cal and vacation at Shoreline Towers the next time you are in Destin. Management

3 couples drove down to our favorite condo in Destin, Shoreline Towers with one thought in mind to party and have the most relaxing and fun vacation that would have a lasting enjoyable memory the could resinate until next years visit. We drank way to much and spent way to much! But we had a blast, we ate and maybe every restaurant in the area. We went shopping, and rode jet ski's and rented a pontoon boat. We tried to swim with dolphins but they were to fast and we tried collect sea shells but were to busy getting a tan. It was much colder than our last visit in August but we made do. No regrets and can't wait to visit again.

The view was amazing! We saw dolphins, sting rays, manatee and even a small shark! The bedrooms were large and the kitchen was updated and had the same wonderful views and was very well equipped. Great location for condo and loved being right on the ocean and probably was the best building out if the 3. The walkways from the elevator to the unit showed its age. In general the buildings are older. The unit itself was nice but could use a makeover. The washer and the dryer in the unit were cobbled into the master bedroom closet which made it awkward when trying to do laundry and the dryer took hours to dry a moderate load of clothes. The master bathroom was efficient at best.

time at Shoreline Towers

we arrived on Sunday, June 8 and our check in package was not left at guard gate. The lady there was not very friendly. Luckly I had all paper work and she gave us the spare key at guard gate. as far as the condo, it was ok. i had 3 kids and it is not stocked for kids like some we have stayed in there before. the unit to upgrade washer / dryer. carpet in that area could be cleaned. that area is very tight and hard to move around in. there should be pot holders added and an extra large skillet.
as far as the tower - one elevator did not work some times.
we did enjoy our stay in Destin and of course will be back . we have stayed in Shoreline Towers for several years.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about our Unit 1111. Unfortunately you are right ... the packet was not at the gate. However, Management was called and you were immediately given the key. We do not leave kids beach toys in the units because if someone gets hurt on a toy we left in a unit we could be held responsible. The guest said the washer/dryer area was tight. Surprisingly enough the Owners next upgrade is to move the washer/dryer into another area of the condo opening that area. Come back and check out the Owners new upgrades in 2015. Management

What a view! Beautiful location right on the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the staff we very friendly and helpful.The only downsides were that the unit needs some updating and could be cleaner. Some updating has been done, and the layout of the unit is fantastic. I was not impressed with the cleanliness. Baseboards dusty, shower heads had mildow on them. Cleaning crew could do a better job. Overall though, we loved it and would stay there again.
